2001

Whew! This was a rough year for us. Two lay-offs, one contract terminated, a struggle with infertility followed by two early miscarriages. But the good news is...

Doug's band Superball changed their name to Strange Loop.

Scott Bogart left the band in June and was replaced by Tim Van Haeke in September. Strange Loop continues to gig around Colorado.

Maida's sister, Berni Carpio, received a marriage proposal from her boyfriend Andy Reynolds. The wedding date is set for July 13, 2002

Doug's sister, Georgiana Scott and her husband Tom Duke, finished building their home in Westcliffe, Colorado. Their brother Greg Scott was there every weekend helping with the building. Mom and Dad went often. We also helped a couple of weekends...one of which was the barn raising!

Doug joined MaidaNet this year, creating multimedia Flash presentations for MaidaNet clients. He also had a couple freelance contract jobs of his own doing Flash presentations. Check them out here: http://www.maida.net/dscott/

Maida began studying Shorin Kung Fu in July. In September, she earned her yellow belt.

Maida was the stage director for the Encore Children's Theatre production of the Candy Cane Caper.
